Oh, I've started this out on a completely unrelated note. I wanted to tell you about one of my friends, and that she told me a secret!
It's a ridiculous secret, but in school, so many things happen that make me wonder that it's nice to know something no one else knows. Or maybe (probably) someone else does know. Blast.
I get that sometimes, though. People tell me secrets, ask me for advice, like Worksheet Fellow, and sometimes, like Ol' Worksheet Guy, I can just say "GO ASK THE TEACHER, YOU IDIOT, I DON'T KNOW!" but sometimes it's much, much harder. Sometimes one friend will tell me their reservations about another friend, and I'll hear and see two different sides, and I don't know what to think anymore. I go to other people for my advice, like my mother, for example, not neccesarily my friends, but they go to other people. Who go to other people. Who get on talk shows and get their advice there. But even they get advice from someone!
Who does everyone get their advice from, tell their secrets to? Is there just an old wiseperson who knows everything about everything? Or is it all in a circle and, indirectly, the talk show hosts get their advice from me?
Quote for Wednesday, September 2, 2009:
When your mother asks, "Do you want a piece of advice?" it is a mere formality. It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no. You're going to get it anyway.
